UnityPoint Health is actively recruiting for a Geriatrician to join our Peoria IL Senior Health team.  

This is a full-time employed Physician opportunity to join an established and talented team of 4 Physicians and 6 Advance Practice Providers, working in a collaborative environment focusing on patient-centered care.

We seek a Physician with a passion for Geriatric Patients, who also has leadership qualities to serve as the Medical Director of Senior Health.  You will be part of an engaged and talented team, helping to grow this thriving practice and maintain the high quality and patient satisfaction scores.

• Clinic support staff: 1 RN and 1 Patient Service Rep
• Clinic conveniently located on Hospital Campus
• EPIC EMR

• Nursing home admitting and rounding: 5 days per week with a very flexible schedule to see patients in 1-2 nursing homes per day
• Medical Director of Senior Health and of area Nursing Homes: Geriatrician will receive additional stipend(s) related to the Medical Directorship responsibilities
• Collaborating Physician for Advanced Practice Providers
• Average patients/day: 7
• Call schedule requirement: 5 days per month including weekends, call handled by phone

• MD or DO; Board Certified Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician
• Board Certified in Geriatrics ideal but not required
• Hold/obtain an unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Illinois
• Eligible to work in the United States; H-1B and Permanent Residency sponsorship available
