  • UnityPoint Hiawatha clinic is a mix of Internal Medicine and Family Medicine providers
  • Onsite Lab (Medlabs), and outpatient physical and occupational therapy.
  • Experienced staff, both clinical and non-clinical, who know the patients and the communities
  • Full-time position, including dedicated administrative time, flexibility of schedule
  • Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination

Responsibilities

  • This position will serve as an extender provider to a current physician’s panel of patients.
  • Same-day acute visits to enhance patient access in the clinic
  • Will participate in shared call amongst the providers; Triaged through MyNurse
  • Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve
  • General family medicine procedures, must have experience with Women’s Health IUDs and Nexplanon’s
  • Evaluates, interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care
  • Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

  • Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Board Certified
  • Must be an experienced advanced practitioner, and able to work independently
  • Experience with the Pediatric population and Women’s health – IUD and Nexplanon
  • Hold an unrestricted medical license in the state of Iowa
  • Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the Advanced Practitioners field of practice
  • Eligible to work in the United States
