UnityPoint Clinic and St. Luke’s Hospital are actively recruiting for a Neuropsychologist to join our PMR team in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

The St. Luke's Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation department places a high priority on patient and family satisfaction. Our outcomes compare favorably to regional and national rehabilitation hospitals, because we listen to your concerns and suggestions for improvement. 

The team provides full spectrum rehab and psychological care for patients including acute, inpatient rehab, and a multitude of outpatient services.  

  • Established team of two neuropsychologists and a psychometrist
  • An additional independent health psychologist that works part-time on IRU and with a small outpatient practice.
  • Opportunity to practice as part of an integrated interdisciplinary team treating neuro outpatients that is well-established and has a strong reputation in the region and across the state.
  • Full-time position, including dedicated administrative time, with flexible scheduling to ensure sufficient patient access
  • No Nights, Weekends, Holidays or Call requirements
  • Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination

Responsibilities

  • Provider's office is utilized for testing and consultation.
  • Outpatient practice
  • Working with an interdisciplinary team including health psychology, OT/PT/SLP, care coordination team, SW.
  • Focus on quick follow-up after inpatient stays to serve the goals of UnityPoint Health regarding reducing re-admissions and other metrics.
  • Embrace practices to decrease wait time from referral to evaluation.
  • Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve
  • Partner closely with other care providers including rehab physicians, hospitalists, primary care, therapists, and social work.  
  • Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

  • Doctorate in Counseling or Clinical Psychology with a specialization in neuropsychology.
  • Completion of a postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology.
  • Licensed or license eligible in the state of Iowa.
  • Experience preferred
  • Eligible to work in the United States
