The St. Luke's Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation department places a high priority on patient and family satisfaction. Our outcomes compare favorably to regional and national rehabilitation hospitals, because we listen to your concerns and suggestions for improvement. 

The team provides full spectrum rehab and psychological care for patients including acute, inpatient rehab, and a multitude of outpatient services.  

• Established team of two neuropsychologists and a psychometrist
• An additional independent health psychologist that works part-time on IRU and with a small outpatient practice.
• Opportunity to work as part of an integrated interdisciplinary inpatient rehabilitation unit that is well-established and has a strong reputation in the region and across the state.
• Full-time position, including dedicated administrative time, with flexible scheduling to ensure sufficient patient access
• No Nights, Weekends, Holidays or Call requirements
• Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination

• Work in inpatient rehabilitation setting on an interdisciplinary team.
• The health psychologists support IRU patients by conducting assessments for all rehab admissions and ongoing treatment and support of patients as needed. It is key aspect of the rehab service line to help patients realize their full potential for recovery and to prepare the patient for the next step in their rehab journey.
• Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve
• Partner closely with other care providers including rehab physicians, hospitalists, primary care, therapists, and social work.  
• Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment
• Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills

• PHD
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Specialty
• Experience preferred
• Hold an unrestricted license in the state of Iowa
• Eligible to work in the United States
