UnityPoint Health – Sioux City delivers a broad range of advanced healthcare services to residents across Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota. Through our two hospitals, UnityPoint Health – St. Luke’s and UnityPoint Health – St. Luke’s – Downtown, as well as the June E. • Anesthesia Care Team Practice
• Established practice serving the Sioux City community
• Cohesive group of colleagues and supportive staff allowing for autonomy while building the practice according to your preferences
• Experienced staff, both clinical and non-clinical, who know the patients and the community
• Full-time position, with flexible scheduling to ensure sufficient patient access

• Experience and proficiency with: trauma, vascular, neuro cases
• High acuity patients (ASA III & IV)
• Comfortable working with CRNAs and Resident Registered Nurse Anesthestists in a supervision model as well as doing own cases if needed
• 24/7 call coverage/ shared call model
• In hospital cases: general surgery, trauma, neuro, vascular, interventional cardiology/EP, urology, healthy pediatrics 
• Evaluates, interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care
• Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment
• Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills

• MD or DO
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Anesthesiology 
• Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa
• Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician’s field of practice
• Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt)
• J-1 waiver sponsorship available
